so I just watched the Stand Up For the Champions video from 2003 and it always makes me nostalgic. Remember when we use to hit the {#*£<|{ out of people on defense? For the love of Pete let's bring that type of recruit and defense back!
As much as I dislike the current defense we play, I hate our current offense even more. Go rewatch that 03 game and see the screens we called. I'm begging you Dimel, please call multiple screens in a game. We saw one recently with the RB but try another with warmack and multiple wr ones with zuber, Heath or Schoen. We call maybe one screen every 2-3 games and don't try it again?!? As hard as defenses are keying against the run!!! What a perfect misdirection play.
Also I have been thinking hard lately. Why is Dana Dimel on staff? He brings zero to recruiting, his play calling is beyond schizophrenic and his coaching of the running backs makes me wonder how many of them will transfer at the end of the year. (I'm betting at least 2.)
Sorry for the negativity. I was telling a friend of mine at the beginning of the football season anything less than 9 wins would be a disappointment and reality is setting in that even a bowl game will be a challenge now.
