I'm having sciatic issues, and made an appointment with Dr Wylie, who appears to be the most popular spine doc/surgeon in North Texas based on the minimum month and a half wait. The guy comes in and his first words were about my K-State ballcap. He said that the game next week with TCU might be a good one, and I made the comment (been thinking about posting it here) that I thought TCU is going to lose their next two games. His face kinda turned sour, and as we talked, I figured out that he was part of their sideline medical team.

The reason I posted this was that he said that the K-State students behind the visitors' bench are "by far the most entertaining and interesting of all the places we've been". I just pretty much said that that's just Kansas folks being Kansas folks.

Aside from the fact that I had to sit in the exam room for an hour staring at a Duke basketball jersey and coach K autograph, he appears to be a great guy. I really hope I didn't piss him off too bad, especially if this steroid epidural doesn't work and he has to operate. Now I suppose I'm gonna get reamed about why I think TCU is gonna lose their next two games.
