Zero has changed this season.

Many of you on this board felt this was going to be a season where we took a step back. I was one of them. We are about where many had predicted only that was with a Senior QB.

There is not a magic act in building or rebuilding a program. There isn’t a supply of fairy dust you sprinkle on your playbook and plays magically work. That is especially true with an inexperienced OL and a true freshman QB.

R-E-L-A-X. Despite this team’s deficiencies, and there are more than a few, it has been competitive in all but two games. A lot of young players have been thrown into the fire and that experience will only help.

Snyder didn’t do his successor any favors with the roster he inherited. Yes, we do have some nice players but it wasn’t going to happen overnight. I have been frustrated like everyone else with the OSU and Baylor losses. But that is going to happen with a team like this one in year 2.

I feel the same as I do after last season and early in this season. The program is headed in the right direction.

I do get a kick out the frequent “FCS coaching staff” comments. Those are as glorious.
