A coach is first and foremost a teacher of young men and women. A team reflects the personality of the coach. If a coach whines and makes excuses every time something goes wrong, this attitude is passed on to the players. I am ready for a coach that exhibits responsibility for mistakes, teaches his players that through toughness and hard work good things are accomplished. If you lose, you lose, BUT at least be prepared and give it the best effort you can. You can't prepare your team ahead of time about every situations that are going to arise, if you have confidence in your ability as a coach, you call timeout and make adjustments. You have to exude confidence that what ever you call WILL work so your team goes back on the floor knowing that if they execute it properly, they will have a chance to win!
This team looks and executes the best when they are NOT running set plays. There is no creativity and adjustment on offense when things start to get tough from this coaching staff. They have all the excuses for the losses, except for the correct one.
NCAA, NIT or staying home, it is time for a change.
