to continue coaching. I think the coaches have performed well this season, even with the disappointing outcomes to many games. There have been extenuating circumstances, mainly the injuries, the youth and also past recruiting results. I do believe recruiting has been disappointing, but I also know recruiting is cyclical at most programs. You just hope for some consistency, which has been a bit lacking over the last 3 or 4 classes.
However, our Hall of Fame Coach is the perfect man to continue the building process of this team. The video from this year will be great for coaching our players. Get this team healthy, bring in a good class of freshman to build for the future, whether in 2016 or beyond and keep working. It is the K-State Way.
Does the coaching need improvement? Of course. There is ALWAYS room for improvement and adjustments to be made. Our HoFC is the BEST at identifying a young man's strengths, weaknesses and most importantly capabilities. There is a reason so many walk-ons and unheralded scholarship young men have excelled at K-State. It's called "coaching" and "player-development". That is exactly the need for our current team.
I hope Coach will retire (again) of his own volition. As he explained today, as is the case for all of us, it is dependent on many different sources and variables. My personal opinion is he will be self-motivated to improve this roster of players which will result in an improved season in 2016.
