I didn't think we played overly well. We weren't sharp in a lot of ways. But despite that we beat Omaha handily. Now, nobody is going to mistake Omaha for Duke anytime soon. But in the past when we weren't sharp, these games were close. I liked how we did what we were supposed to do. even when we weren't at our best.

That was a good sign to me.

It's obvious we need more productivity in the post. And I'm not sure Wade is that answer. He's got a very high skill set, but you can tell he's rarely had to play against people just as big and athletic (or more so) than him. That takes time and we need to be patient. But at the same time he needs to adopt an alpha mindset and realize he's just as big, athletic and skilled as about anyone on the floor we face. Just because he's not playing Ellinwood High doesn't mean he still can't be the best player on the floor. But he's the one who has to realize that and believe it. Until he does, he,ll struggle against athletes.

I have zero expectations for this team beyond game to game. I've seen things to make me think they can be really good, and I've seen things that make me think we will be no different than last year. We'll just play the games, enjoy watching them, and see how things turn out.
