The talent we have is plenty good enough to win against anyone we play. We fall into this media induced vicious circle about that crap every year. I clearly remember hearing Collin Klein wasn't a D1 QB, John Hubert wasn't a Big 12 running back, etc, etc, et f-ing cetera!! Every year we hear when we lose a game it comes back to this crap. What got us today and has other times is e conservative nature of our wonderful coaching staff. Two plays stick out to me. 3rd and 23 before the half and 4t and 8 at games end and we decide to sit on our heels and make them make a play. Well guess what, they did. Both times. We lost. I know we have a staff that plays the odds and we are calculated in everything we do......ALL THE TIME. I simply think we need to exhibit a little more situational "feel" at times and trust our kids to make plays. We just get a little rigid and predictable. Particularly on D. 4th and 8 with game in the balance I'm getting after their ass. I know the kids would want that too. Were the odds better hanging back? Maybe so. I'd rare go down swinging. I love this team, these coaches and this university. So proud of them today.
