It sounds like there may not be the funds to buy out Bruce's contract. Don't worry, there's a great solution. If that's the case, why not do what Mr. Thomassoulo did in Seinfeld when Play Now didn't have the funds to buy out George's 1 year contract?
Gene can simply downgrade Bruce's office to some sort of bunker, everybody in the athletic department can tell Bruce "Go to hell" as they pass him in the hallway, they can turn up the heat in his office to sweat him out, send guys to do 6 hours of sand blasting, and install asbestos in his office, etc. And if Bruce happens to have his own personal handicapped restroom, the athletic department can make it available to all employees and their families. Soon enough Bruce will quit without getting a buyout.
And best of all Gordon Jump, whom played Mr. Thomassoulo is a K-State alumnus. It all adds up and makes complete sense!
