In light of @GPCwallace report on Breontae Matthews and the quote "he does read this message board and has seen some of the comments directed towards him 'blowing smoke'"; I question how much of the crap some of our fellow GPC poster's rumors are killing our recruiting right now. Only takes a few dimwits around here to spew a few rumors about Brent Venables to get some of these kids to change their minds(see 35+ page on BV coming to KSU). And now the new rumors of "a coach" or "a plan of one coach". So now we are just talking about any coach correct? Not a promising up and comer. I'm sure that will begin to add more credence to those recruiting against us.
I don't know Bill personally, but the dude can probably still coach and outlast 75% of the current Big 12 coaches. We still have in my opinion a great shot at the Big 12 in 2017 with the talent on this roster. With the addition of a few juocs this year and next, who knows. I do think reporting of vague rumors is fine, but some people's attempts to make this thing larger than life(35 + pages) more than stinks. I think it is time to put the rumors to bed for now and let the Wizard do his job.
