Seems like most K-State fans share a common theme, had K-State loss to Iowa State, the ku game would be a major concern, but since the CATS won, it's not. I guess that pretty much sums up my feelings, but maybe it's not that simple.
No doubt that Iowa State was a huge win for K-State on multiple levels.
Player confidence, player attitude/ spirit, bowl hopes, just an overall feeling of relief for players, coaches, and fans...etc...etc. The win was like 10 inches of rain over a 30 day period in Western Kansas.
And just when ku was feeling better about themselves they get hammered by West Virginia at home.
I believe K-State is going to win 48 to 17 (something like that), but part of me is still a tad concerned.
What "IF" K-State turns the ball over 5 times and ku has zero turnovers ?
What if ku places 8 in the box and run blitzs most every down and is able to slow down (or stop) K-State' run game, will Hubener be able to throw the ball half-way accurate ?
What if K-State cannot pressure Willis and he has a good day throwing the ball against a revamped K-State D-secondary?
Or maybe my small bit of concern is more about the disappointment and frustration that I've felt at times this season.
Yes, K-State could have easily won 2 or 3 more games this season, but they didn't.
Yes, I believe that K-State would have won 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 more games had Ertz stayed healthy and had a good year (not a great year, just a good one).
Despite the season's disappointment, K-State still has an opportunity to finish the season on a good note and get to a bowl game...and perhaps win a bowl.
I agree with Fitz, if K-State can jump on ku early, the birds will fold... but if the birds hang around, we could become more than a tad concerned in the second half.
GO STATE !!
