Big things are happening for three-star quarterback Parker Leise on and off the field. On the field, Leise is making the move from Kansas’ Shawnee Mission East to Florida’s national powerhouse IMG Academy. Off the field, Kansas State is developing tight bonds with the 2023 gunslinger.

On the move from the Lancers to lacing them up with the Ascenders, Leise shared, “I have only been there for two weeks, but I love the coaches and the relationships I am starting to build with the players,” Leise said. “I am really excited for spring ball.”

As for teams that have not offered but might be on the verge, the Wildcats are atop that list.

“I think K-State is probably No. 1 on that list,” Leise stated. “I am really liking K-State and they are really liking me. I have had a lot of contact with coach (Chris) Klieman, their head coach, and coach (Collin) Klein, their quarterback coach.”

The Wildcats got Leise in Manhattan last month to check out the Bill Snyder Family Football Stadium.

“I did take a visit to K-State,” Leise said. “I really loved the program and their entire coaching staff. They are really tight knit. They are really heavy on family; I really like that aspect. We are building a relationship with each other. They have that brotherhood that everyone can rely on.”

From Leise’s view, the Wildcats’ offense is a perfect fit for him.

“I love that they run a variety of different offenses,” Leise shared. “They will get into a run-heavy offense and then go spread and throw the ball downfield a lot. It makes it really hard to defend that type of offense. I grew up playing like that, so I really like that aspect to their offense.”
