Now let me preface this by saying I think Martin is a good coach, but despite only having 1 loss South Carolina is actually ranked one spot behind Kansas state in pomeroys rankings. Another interesting thing, k state has moved up about 20 spots since conference play started so despite the 1-3 record, the team has obviously played some decent ball.
