Lots of talk about Craig Smith and International Recruiting. I think that we should certainly be looking at recruiting more internationally.

Lets take a look at some of the top 25 rosters right now.

Illinois:

Cockburn.....Kingston, Jamaica
Bosmans-Verdonk......Lommel, Belgium
Bezhanishvili..........Rustavi, Georgia (the Country not the U.S state)
Curbelo..............Vega Baja, Puerto Rico (sorta international)
Padilla..................Carolina, Puerto Rico

Gonzaga:

Nembhard.........Ontario, Canada
Arlauskas...........Kaunas, Lithuania
Zakharov............St. Petersburg, Russia
Ayayi...................Bordeaux, France
Ballo...................Koulikouro, Mali

Baylor:

Thamba...............Kinshasa, Democratic Repulic of the Congo
Tchatchoua..........Douala, Cameroon

I am not saying K-State should be recruiting 100% international but it is probably easier to recruit international players in some cases. Talented US players that have affinity for regional powers like Kansas, Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina etc are probably harder to convince than an Australian, European or African recruit.
