I'm not so sure.
First of all, it's really is too early to get worked-up about mock brackets.
Lots of basketball yet to be played. K-State could finish strong -OR- crash & burn.
I doubt the Big 12 gets 7 teams in the tourney (70% of the conference, nah).
I'm guessing 6 teams. I'm not saying there's no chance for 7 Big 12 invites, but I doubt it.
Here's a question.
Assume K-State splits with Texas & TCU, but the CATS scratch and claw to a 9 & 9 conference record.
TCU and/or Texas finishes with an 8 & 10 record.
I would be willing to bet that Texas -OR- TCU would get the nod over K-State.
In truth, it would likely come down to the Big 12 tourney, but I'm just saying.
In short, I would like to believe a 9 & 9 conference record would get the CATS in the dance, but K-State may need to win a game in the Big 12 tourney.
For now = BEAT the Red Raiders !
Lets get 10 conference wins and not have to sweat anything.
GO STATE !
