Obviously, I've been on the Brent Venables ban wagon ever since it was confirmed with "2 separate sources". But after hearing the dialog between Strong and Snyder during the postgame handshake, it really made me think. This is what Snyder said to Charlie Strong:
"I mean this from the bottom of my heart, you're the guy. You are the guy."
He was obviously talking about Texas, but it got me thinking... Could Charlie Strong be "The Guy" for K-State? At first glance, you probably think, HELL NO! If he can't win at Texas how is he going to win at K-State? But if you take a deeper look, Snyder obviously sees something in him and really likes the way he coaches. Charlie Strong flourished at Louisville which is a school that compares very well to Kansas State. There would be substantially less pressure on him at K-State, and I think this would really allow Charlie Strong to reach his full potential. Strong's value system is also very similar to Bill Snyder's, which is important because I believe he would mesh well with our current team and maintain the character of Kansas State Football.
Just food for thought. Interested to see what everyone thinks.
