I asked Bruce Weber about the status of the freshman forward earlier today at media availability. Weber smiled and gave a pretty loud, high-pitched AAAUUUHHH and chuckled before giving the following answer:
"You know, after what happened last week, anything can happen, right? So, we'll see."
I'm only going to speculate Weber was referring to KU's Cheick Diallo getting cleared. It was kind of a sarcastic answer so maybe there is some hope he gets cleared to play at some point.
For those unaware of the situation, the 6-foot-10 freshman is ineligible currently due to a NCAA Clearinghouse issue. Take it for what it's worth.
