A review of the roster tells me we currently have 83 scholarship players. Of those 18 are seniors. That puts us at 65 scholarships at the end of this semester and thus 20 open scholarships to sign kids too.
Now the other questions...
status of Barnett - will he take a medred and return next year?
status of Olomua - did he ever get cleared by NCAA?
status of Cre Moore - is he still legally in trouble?
status of Ertz - is he going to be able to still play football?
any redshirt juniors that intend to graduate and move on?
any players that decide to transfer for more playing time?
any current walk-on's that could earn scholarships next year?
Bottom line we will probably end up somewhere between 20-25 open scholarships to get up to that 85 limit and with 13 current commits that means we probably have 10 or so open 'ships we don't have commitments for yet. What are the key targets.........
DE - 2 (Loudermilk and Fitzgerald appear to be the top targets)
DT - 1 ( keep filling the pipeline)
CB - 2 (Dunn is one of the targets)
OL - 2 (appears we are after at least one juco DT)
RB - 1 (is McCoy a high target now)
