guys like this get away. Just saying. Also notice who the coach is.

Defensive tackle Bryce English has always possessed star potential. The former DeSoto standout, who began his career at Kansas State, will have the opportunity to capitalize on all that talent for the first time on the college level this fall at North Texas.

English spent the 2016 season with the Mean Green as a redshirt while sitting out as a transfer. He is eligible this season and could be a game-changing player in UNT's 3-4 defense that requires a stout nose tackle.

English played well in spring practice and finished with two sacks in UNT's spring game. He will be in the rotation on the Mean Green's defensive line this fall.

"Bryce did some really good things up front and is getting into the swing of things," UNT coach Seth Littrell said spring. "He has dropped some weight, which makes him more athletic."

The moves UNT is making with its defense will give English an opportunity to shine. Roderick Young started at nose tackle last season, but could see more time at defensive end this fall. That switch could open up more playing time for English along what is expected to be a stout defensive front.

The Mean Green also return tackle T.J. Tauaalo and defensive end Andy Flusche. The talent across UNT's defensive line will prevent teams from focusing on English and should open opportunities for him to shine in his first season playing for the Mean Green.
