Sitting on the beach yesterday here in Puerto Vallarta and met a very nice couple from Victoria, Texas. Turns out their neighbors are from Kansas, in fact she's from Salina (my hometown). Oh, and they're K-State grads.
So she texts her. Not only from Salina (about 8 years older than I am), she briefly lived on our street, she describes my childhood home and texts EMAW.
Then she texts the latest cover of Powercat Illustrated. Yes, they're subscribers. And it turns out that our mothers were friends back in the 70s & 80s. It's a small, beautiful EMAW world.
