Solid all around regular season for Wes. Leads our club in scoring (12.6) and boards (6.6), 2nd in assists (3.4), and 3rd in FT% (74.5%). He ranks in the Top 10 in the conference in boards (8th), FG% (10th), and FT% (10th).

Adding to that versatility, he has also greatly improved as an outside shooter, making more 3's this season (26) than he had done in his 1st 3 yrs combined (20). He's done that while shooting a respectable 36.1% from deep this season.

Wes has taken a lot of grief for what he is not. He is a good playmaker but no, he is not a flawless ballhandler and decision maker.

The one aspect of his game that has particularly stood out to me as this season has progressed is his rebounding. As noted above, he led our team in boards at 6.6 per game, and in conference play, he has stepped that up even more, averaging 7.6 per game. He's been using every bit of his length, athleticism, and improved strength to battle on the boards, giving our team a chance to compete in nearly every conference game.

He may or may not earn honors from the league this season, but he has shown an increased skill level and the willingness to get after it and play physical in the paint. Let's see that continue through the finish of this season.
