I am a self admitted Ned hater. I feel that while he obviously is a player's coach that has done some things right, he has won quite a few games IN SPITE OF his coaching rather than because of his coaching. He has some good players that have come through for him. However, how in the world can anyone possibly justify Joba Chamberlain being inserted in this situation? The fact that Dayton and the Royals picked him up after Detroit, who had the worst pen in the majors at the time, cut him is unbelievable when we were the best in the league at the time. That said, NOTHING dictates that Ned has to pitch him, LET ALONE IN A 1 RUN GAME in the bottom of the 8th! Who didn't know he would give up at least one?! The #Yosted thing is probably overused, but holy crap this is one example of why people think Ned sucks. Absolutely no sense in bringing him in unless you are just giving up.
