Connected with Octavious Morgan yesterday about his recruitment and it sounds like he'll be a player worth watching over the next several weeks. Initially pegged as a 2017 prospect, the Butler County C.C. product informed me that may or may not be the case.
Morgan has actually already made an unofficial visit to Manhattan back when the Wildcats defeated Iowa State. Since then, he's drawn the most interest from Texas Tech along with K-State.
A 6-foot, 200-pound defensive back who was named 2nd-Team All-KJCCC this fall, Morgan says if either the Red Raiders or Wildcats extend an offer, he will likely commit for 2016 (so I assume he has the tests and grades to qualify as is). If neither opts to pull the trigger, he'll return to Butler County and continue there as a sophomore.
** Personally, K-State would be crazy not to jump on Morgan now. His recruitment will only get stronger next fall and this class desperately needs secondary help.
For reference, Morgan is originally from Greenwood, South Carolina. Twitter: @KingOct5
