There seem to be several threads about the game so, I thought I would post regarding the trip.

We flew into Pittsburgh on Friday and had an easy drive to Morgantown. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and met a lot of nice WV fans.

On Saturday we got up and went to Fat Daddy's. Great bar except they were not prepared for the amount of food that Wildcats order. We waited for over an hour for our food. I would love to be there at close on a Friday or Saturday night because there is a long ramp running from the second floor where the bar is to ground level (only access). I would guess there are a lot of drunks rolling down that ramp.

We parked at the Coliseum and rode the shuttle to the game. Easiest in and out we have had at any of the BIG XII stadiums we have been to (all except KU and ISU).

The WV fans were very welcoming and I would have to say they were the best in the current Big XII. Texas A&M were better back in the day but not by much. That being said they did have the usual few college kids that wanted to talk smack after the game. I will say they really appreciate being in the Big XII.

The stadium is really nice and I would say that it is the noisiest in the conference when they are in the game. It was pretty quiet until the from about mid 1st quarter to 4th quarter. When it gets loud it is real loud. Totally enclosed and the noise doesn't leave.

After the game we headed north for Pittsburgh and found a hole in the wall bar and grill called the Copper Kettle half way there that was really good.

Flew out on Sunday. I would suggest that if you are going check out the NFL schedule. If we had we would have stayed another day and caught the Chiefs game.

I ran into one Wildcat that lives in Pitt and he had a friend in from KC. They saw baseball Thursday, hockey Friday, our game and Chiefs on Sunday. They hadn't sobered up the whole time. I could have done that 40 years ago but I would be dead now if I tried it.

Other than the outcome of the game it was a great trip. I would say you should go once.
