chance of K-State taking ku lightly (see TCU & Texas), you can forget about it.

Snyder and the players from Kansas always prepare well for ku, but throw in ku’s shocking upset of Texas and now the Legend has another drum to beat this week.

I don’t want to minimize the fact that ku gained some confidence by upsetting the Horns and confidence is a beautiful thing, but ku’s win was more about Texas than the colorful birds.

Texas committed 5 turnovers in regulation and ku still couldn’t win.
It took overtime and a 6th turnover for ku to seal to deal.
The game was comical.
Ku mustered 15 first downs and 330 yards of offense with 6 gifts.
(Sorry, but Charlie Strong should be fired).

Some stats to chew on:
Total Offense: ku #110 / KSU #100
Scoring Offense: ku # 118 / KSU #48 (only a 60 spot difference)

Total Defense: ku # 110 / KSU # 54
Scoring Defense: ku # 117 / KSU # 39 (only a 78 spot difference)
ku’s rushing Defense #111

Other factors that will make this game ugly:
K-State is at home
Carter Stanley came in for mop-up duty against WV. BSFS will be Stanley’s first experience in a loud / rowdy environment under center.

K-State has almost 2.5 games of film to watch on Stanley. Just enough film to get a good read on the freshman’s tendencies.

LASTLY, a HUGE motivator for the Program / The Team / The Fans = The Legend goes for 200.

K-State 64
Ku -17
