The Wildcats are one defeat away from suffering their most Big 12 losses under Weber. Since going 14-4 with a share of the Big 12 regular season title in 2012-13, the Wildcats have finished 10-8 and then 8-10 a year ago. They’ve lost 10 of 14 league games this time around with four games to go.

When they face No. 24 Texas, 17-10 and 8-6, in Monday’s 6 p.m. tipoff at Bramlage Coliseum, they’ll try to avoid five home losses — something no K-State team has done since 2004-05 under Jim Wooldridge.

A victory on Monday would also prevent the Longhorns from scoring a milestone fourth-consecutive win over the Wildcats. It’s a feat never accomplished by Texas in a series that dates to 1971.
