So, after telling Kellis he should dig into this and write an article documenting players seemingly becoming worst shooters while they are at K-State, I decided to dig in some myself. I am not drawing any conclusions. You can do that for yourself.

I'll start with this year's squad and work backwards:

Mike McGuirl:
I haven't been able to locate any of his HS stats, but being a high level shooter has always been considered the forte of his game. Here is a newspaper quote from 2016 when he was a Senior: "There is a shooting range, and then there is Mike McGuirl's shooting range. "I like to think when I pass half court, I can make the shot," he says. "

In his first two years at K-State, he was bad. He shot 23-86 for 26.7% on about 2 attempts per game. Last year, he was fantastic. He shot 35-88 for 39.8% on 3 attempts per game. This year, he has regressed to his career norm and is shooting 31.8% on 6.5 attempts per game. For his career, he is a 32.6% shooter from deep.

Nijel Pack:
Nobody questions Pack's ability to shoot. He has made the transitiion from HS to College as well as any player in the Bruce Weber era.
Career HS stats: 149-347 (43%) from 3 and 160-186 (86%) from free throw line. That's elite.
KSU stats: 44-113 (39%) from 3 and 15-21 (71%) from free throw line.

Selton Miguel:
Shooting was considered a major strength of his HS game:
His numbers I believe are incomplete and maybe @mobcat has a complete list but the best I could find:
Senior HS stats: 79-200 (37%) on almost 8 attempts per game in the 26 games I could find.
KSU stats: 18-75 (24%)

Dajuan Gordon:
Shooting was never considered a strength but was adequate:
Senior HS stats: 38-112 (34%) on just over 3 attempts per game
As a freshman, Gordon made 24-73 (33%) on 2.3 attempts per game
As a sophomore, that has fallen to 14-68 (21%) on 3.6 attempts per game.

Rudi Williams:
Shooting was considered his biggest strength and Bruce has talked it up over and over again.
Sophormore Juco Stats: 39-107 (36%) on 3.6 attempts per game. Also shot 81% from free throw line on almost 6 attempts per game.
KSU stats: 13-46 (28%)

Antonio Gordon:
Gordon had two distinct skills in HS. Shooting and rebounding. Both were high level.
I can't find any of @Grant Flanders old posts about Gordon's HS stats from his Senior season so maybe he can help me out here.
Soph/JR HS stats: 48-146 (33%) on about 4 attempts per game. 102-131 from free throw line for 78%.
KSU Stats: 18-80 (23%) on about 2 attempts per game and 35-61 (57%) on free throws

Cartier Diarra:
The narrative is that Carti wasn't a shooter in high school. It wasn't his strength but he could shoot.
HS Stats: 47-132 (36%)
KSU Stats: 112-325 for 35%.
Carti saw his shooting percentages go down every year. 40% as a freshman, 37% as a soph and 31% as a junior. His free throw shooting stayed about the same between HS and College.

Xavier Sneed
Senior season stats: 49-129 for 38% from 3 on almost 5 attempts per game and 163-195 (84%) from free throw line
KSU Stats: 216-651 for 33% from 3 on almost 5 attempts per game and 293-417 for 70% from free throw line
Sneed stayed pretty consistent around 34-35% until his senior season at K-State that saw his percentage drop to 30.
Current G League stats: 5-18 for 28% on a very SSS

David Sloan:
Soph Juco Stats: 36-93 for 39% on about 3 attempts per game. 55-104 for 53% from free throw line
KSU Stats: 13-48 for 27% on about 1.5 attempts per game. 28-51 for 55% from free throw line
ETSU Stats: 24-55 for 44% on about 3 attempts per game. 51-69 for 74% from free throw line

Shaun Williams:
HS Senior stats: 38-105 for 36% from 3 on almost 4 attempts per game and 134-175 for 77% from free throw line.
KSU Stats: 11-44 for 25% from 3
CSB stats: 21-56 for 38% on over 3 attempts per game. 26-35 for 74% from free throw line

Barry Brown:
HS Career stats: 138-370 for 38% on about 4 attempts per game
KSU stats: 173-542 for 32% on 4 attempts per game. Yearly percentages dropped every year: 34, 33, 32, 30
G League stats: 88-224 for 39% on 5 attempts per game

Honestly, at this point, I am just bored with this and it's getting hard to find players stats. I don't know what Dean Wade's HS stats were but he went from 29% as a freshman to 39% for his career and 40% in the G League. Dude can shoot anywhere

I can't find any Kamau Stokes for before or after KSU. He was 34, 26, 32 and 36 for his four years.
