The 6-7 LadyCats getting ready to take on the 11-2 Texas Lady Longhorns in Austin. While we are not going to be favored in this game, it is a huge opportunity to lock in our bid to the NCAA tournament with an upset.
Texas handled us fairly easily in Manhattan after K-State started the 2nd quarter with the lead. Unfortunately we only shot 22.2% from 3pt and that is not going to get it done against a top ten team.
My key points for the team are this.
1. Hit the outside shots (If we can hit 40% from three we will be in this game)
2. Limit turnovers (18 in our last meeting with Texas)
3. Hope that Lewis has a good game inside (both on defense and offense). While Lewis and Sheble are in for a tough matchup, they did a lot of positive things during the 1st game. Limit the fouls and put some pressure on Boyette.
