Doesn't sound like something that Kam will be back from in 2 or 3 weeks.
A coach doesn't make a statement like Weber made if it's not a serious injury.

"I'm incredibly disappointed for Kamau and his family," said head coach Bruce Weber. "He has worked extremely hard to become one of the top guards in the Big 12. I know that he will come back from this setback and become an even better player."

Most agree or suggest that given K-State's non-con slate, the CATS will need to win 9 conference games to make it to the NCAA tourney.

What I don't want to happen is for Gene Taylor to use "not having Kam" as an excuse to give Weber another year.
Say K-State wins 6 or 7 league games (which is what I project), and Taylor believes with Kam Stokes, the CATS would have won 9 league games and made the NCAA tourney.

I've been less critical of Weber than most, but I don't care what happens, if K-State does not make the NCAA tourney, Weber must go. There should be no need for a conversation. As soon as K-State loses in the Big 12 tourney, Taylor should hand Weber his pink slip before he hits the locker room.

Hey, maybe I'm going to be pleasantly surprised (well, nearly shocked) and K-State makes the NCAA tourney this season. I hope so, but I would not recommend holding your breath.

BTW, without question losing Kam is a huge loss, but due to the lack of quality depth, losing Wade would have crushed this team. I doubt K-State could win a game without Wade, unless they were just hitting everything they threw up from 3 pt land.

GO STATE !!
