for me.
The first was the zone read. he really stuck the ball in the belly of the running back until outside containment committed to the running back and then he pulled it out and ran right past the DT or DE usually for good yards. Klein was exceptional at that as well. Hubener not so much. That is something he could really use work on.
Kody throwing on the run looked fantastic. Far better when he was moving than standing in the pocket but he did ok throwing from the pocket as well He does not have the cannon that Joe does but his arm is plenty serviceable.
There was also something just a little a bit different about how Cook ran the QB delayed run...more patient or just recognized where the hole was going to open up at and just got to it quicker, but he popped through the defensive line a lot like Klein would.
All of that said, it sounds like it might be moot now anyway, if he has truly broken his collarbone. hope that is not the case. I am sure someone will let us know when he shows up in class with his arm in a sling.
I am happy with Joe, afterall he did come back in and lead us to the go ahead TD I think we will be all right with him at the helm. But damn, anymore injuries and we may not have any choice but to play young guys.
