Have heard a lot of chatter lately in the high school circles about instituting a shot clock in Kansas. I saw one coach say that they polled the 36 6A coaches and the vote was 35 yes, 1 maybe, and 0 no.
That seems pretty decisive. Does anyone know the backstory on why there is not a shot clock already? It seems like a no-brainer to me, especially when you have these situations where a team can hold the ball for 2+ minutes and run a clock down.
There has to be a reason that it is not commonplace, but I cannot come up with anything.
