KState Basketball imho has received a big boast from the New Ownership of the KState Rivals Website.

When KSO came out of the gate they put a positive light on KState basketball. It wasn’t about the coaching, the Athletic Department, or the Bramledge Coliseum.

It was simply about the young men in the program. This was a group of kids that had some talent but it also had something else. Jeffery was on it early. Comments like “I like this team”. Simple. These guys didn’t over hype the team and have let it play out.

Matt’s addition of Conversation with Chris has been huge IMO. It has given to opportunity for KState MBB to put a different face on the program.

It’s no secret Coach Weber has some problems connecting to a decent segment of the fan base and often some in the group are fairly vocal or have used their podium to criticize Coach fearcely.

It is also no secret that fan support had declined significantly. It is noticeable that season tickets sales dropped considerably and in turn one could imagine some decline in Ahearn Fund support happening.

I have so enjoyed the return of so many posters that have returned to having a lively discussion of the ups and downs of this team. these posters are huge KState basketball fans first and foremost.

Not everyone has to wear their purple sunglasses or drink the koolaid all the time. Thanks KSO for bringing the “band back together “.

My next post we can talk about Derek’s work on taking recruiting coverage to another level and hopefully we can generate more enthusiasm for the recruits.
