"He's a young man that after practice I'd go in and the lights would be on outside and I'd look out here and there'd be one guy out there with the JUGS machine fielding punts. Thirty minutes later he was still out there," Snyder said. "Here's a guy who had All-America status from his freshman year on, and most young guys like that you probably don't find them out there, and he's still out there doing it.
"What I appreciate so much is that all of the successes that he's had and all of the successes that he'll have in the future won't dampen the value system that he possesses. Twenty years from now, you'll go back and say, 'We made a great presentation (in honoring Lockett) because he's still proving us right."
There is a reason he was so amazing. Let's hope we find some leaders in this group that do the extra out of the receiving group.
