- Behind maybe only HOFCBS, Collin Klein is the favorite coach. The players love this guy and truly believe in everything he says and every suggestion he makes. The members of this board are not alone in wanting him to take an increased role in the play calling and game planning I assure you of that. He makes a point to form relationships with his players and should be a top priority to keep whenever the coaching switch happens. He could/will be a talented OC one day.
- The starting QB for this Saturday up until now is still a mystery. I honestly do believe this decision will come down to game-time. I am of the belief we should give Jesse one more game to rest and let Alex start the game until we build a 20+ point lead and then hopefully let Skylar take the honors second half.
- If I’ve said it once I’ve said it a thousand times, Skylar has the most talent and potential out of the three QB’s besides maybe a truly healthy Jesse at this point. With that being said, he needs to get more of a leadership edge to him. You can have the best skill set of any QB in the Big 12 but if you can’t rally your team around you after a mistake you’re going to get eaten alive. Don’t shoot the messenger but he has some growing to do in that area. With that being said, Ertz doesn’t get the appreciation he deserves in that regard IMHO. This team is still Jesse’s until his last snap. Pretty cool hearing about just how much he is respected by his teammates. I really wish we could’ve seen him at full health this year (even if that never was realistic).
