This has nothing to do with sports but I wanted to share a fun experience I had Sunday and Monday. My wife and I were coming back from Estes Park and decided to extend our trip by one day to celebrate our anniversary. I checked out B&Bs in Western Ks close to I70 and chose Mt Sunflower Inn in Sharon Springs, 30 miles south of Goodland. It is located in a completely remodeled old church and was a great place to stay. We couldn't believe it when we discovered that Sharon Springs has a movie theatre downtown and had a movie Sunday evening. For $3.20 we got a bucket of popcorn and a drink. It was a blast and there was prob 100 people there. It's run by volunteers in the community. We ate dinner at Penneys 50's diner. I wore my KSU hat everywhere and got lots of comments. Then today we took the scenic route back to I70 and drove east through Wallace to Oakley. Wallace has a great museum with amazing fossils and frontier military items. I just want to to compliment those folks in far western Ks for having a lot of pride and community spirit. Just about everyone we talked to loves K-State and Bill Snyder is worshiped out there.
