is not dual threat.... Lanning was much better running the football than I thought, but Ryan Willis simply does not run.
Willis has played in 9 games. He has rushed the ball 48 times for a negative 88 yards = averaging minus 9.8 yards per game. This is welcomed news for a K-State defense that often struggles to contain a good running QB. Without a serious QB run threat, the D-lineman and LBs can worry less about containment and more about getting to the QB.
Willis has completed 51% of his passes.
Prewitt was out against Iowa State and Newlan must be banged up (played very little). Just maybe some our back-ups D-backs turned a corner in the second half of the Iowa State game (or not).
Starters vs ISU
Morgan Burns
Duke Shelley (I don't care what the haters say, I believe Duke is doing very well as a true freshman)
Donnie Starks (playing better)
Kendall Adams (11 solo tackles - 12 total .... not bad for a RS freshman)
Nate Jackson.
And perhaps Prewitt and/or Newlan will be back to help out this week.
GO STATE !!
