Just left MHK...as we drove by BSFS for the last time, I was thinking about how almost 5 years ago in Jan. We dropped off Matthew, that left High School early and gave up the last of his Senior year to begin his journey. He was just a kid. Now he's grown into a man and met the love of his life and played the sport he loves. We've loved living this with him and being able to continue on as Football parents just awhile longer. We've driven and flown countless miles and wouldn't change a thing!
We've met some great friends and wonderful players, KSU has truly treated us like family. We feel blessed as Coach Snyder said this past weekend "you don't read about our players in the news"! Matt landed exactly where he was supposed to be, a great place that holds its players to a very high standard. Lizzie, our daughter came and enjoyed a year and a half with her brother and we made just a few more precious memories. While we're sad, we're excited to see what's beyond for all of us! Thank you Manhattan, K-State Family, and KSO from these out of state parents for taking care of our kids and we'll will sure miss the friendly people, restaurants, and "family" we've grown to know. Thank you to the posters that put up with my special teams bias and I apologize for getting too passionate or sarcastic at times with my comments. Differing opinions are what make the world go around and I appreciate all, or at least most of you!
Yes, we are the parents of Matthew and Lizzie McCrane and have enjoyed the K-State experience and thank you for making it so special!
