Coney finally responded back about recruiting after numerous texts over the last week or two.
First things first, he says he'll have his mind made up on a commitment "soon" however given the newest development I'm not so sure.
That development is Tennessee. Coney says a member/members of Butch Jones' staff plans to visit his high school and they're showing a lot of interest lately. You have to wonder if an SEC offer could be on the horizon.
Aside from the Vols, Minnesota and Memphis have set up in-home visits already because a live contact period began today. I asked if K-State has set up an in-home but Coney says the Wildcats have not.
All I can say at this point is to keep a close eye on things (Twitter: @CD4ERA). He's still a must have and K-State knows that full well, but it seems every time they near closure on his verbal pledge more distance appears.
