We at the NCAA tournament game on Saturday witnessed the Stanford band. They were on performance and travel suspension in December. They were unleashed in January.
It seemed to me they were intentionally just messing around, giving a crummy performance. Their director was jumping around like a ninny, and you couldn't tell what they were playing.
They got themselves suspended for including a cow in their 2016 Rose Bowl show vs. Iowa. I didn't see them do anything against New Mexico State, who came with their pistol pete mascot dude. I think their cow tipping spoof was mild compared to some of their antics. I thought that was harmless.
I thought what they did on Saturday was a pretty lame attempt at comedy.
