Les Miles bans color purple (the actual color, not the book or movie)

Les is taking a page out of Snyder's playbook who banned the color red in the locker room for Nebraska and OU (and probably KU also). These are the things that make college rivalries great and I like it. I don't like it when a coach says this is just another game on the schedule and it doesn't mean any more than the next one. Used to piss K-State fans off when KU wouldn't admit K-State was their rival.

"Purple isn’t friendly anymore. It now represents the enemy to the west: Kansas State, a team Kansas hasn’t defeated since its starters were in elementary school."
