Saw these quotes in Fitz's recap from LHCBS and i'm interested in hearing why people who are anti-Bruce read/treat these type of quotes any differently. Disclaimer FWIW: Not an anti LHCBS post or pro Bruce post so save me from that lashing
but i'd be curious to hear everyone's two cents.
In these quotes LHCBS says things like "didn't expect this/that", "we weren't effective but did well sometimes", "he had those two plays", etc. Practically admits being outperformed, out prepared, and if not for a few things here or there we could of been in the game more.....which seems like stuff Bruce says all the time.
- "I expected some of the things that took place tonight not to happen on our behalf,"
- "In all reality, I didn’t know what to expect, but I certainly didn’t expect us to get penalized as much as we did, and I didn’t expect us to probably be reasonably ineffective offensively. I can’t tell you I knew what to expect with the younger guys that we had with that group."
- "There were a couple drives where we ran the ball reasonably well, but we struggled most of the night to run the ball. Obviously, we weren’t extremely effective throwing the football for a variety of reasons."
- "The other one we just bounced off of it with some missed tackles. He had those two big plays"
