Some valid points are made but it certainly doesn't explain all. Let's not pretend it does. A few strident, partisan liberals with which I grew up, it fits well since I knew the families in a small town.
You know these backgrounds coupled with government education indoctrination has been devastating to a couple of generations. Is it the "right" thinking people who fight and rail against home schooling and violence to achieve political objectives.
What is the big picture?
"Now the Lord is the Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." 2 Cor. 3:17 KJV
If you have the Spirit and that means liberty, where does government fit in? Government doesn't like competition for it's lordship, so it squeezes those that believe in the Bible. That is evident starting in 1962 with the ruling banning prayer from school. Can you see the moral decline since then?
If the youth are preoccupied with all kinds of stuff, the government operates in virtual secrecy.
Our society created the likes of Saul Alinsky and Hillary Clinton, Marxist disciplines. Of course, we know Alinsky was a mentor to the unknown Barry Soetoro aka Barack Obama. Christ had disciples, as well, who preached love not revolution and murder.
