Sitting at Raising Canes and getting my chicken tender game going, while two mid 40-50 year old men with KU hats sit at the table next to me. I was almost through my meal when these guys start talking about KState football. I decided to listen in (and I told my GF to go buy me 4 more tenders cause I wanted to keep listening to the conversation). Here is what I got out of it:
- KState recruiting is going downhill and KU will be passing us up with Beaty at taking KU to the promise land. I'm sure they said this about Turder Gill and Charlie Weiss. Also said Beaty was getting a "Top 5" national prospect this year from the state of Kansas (not sure who that is)
- KU fans (I think these guys speak for all fans) want Snyder to stay on longer so he can ruin his legacy. One of the guys said he hoped that neither Willie Fritz or Jim Leavitt were not candidates to take over because he thought they would be "home run" hires.
- They also both agreed with one another that they would beat KState next season, forcing Snyder to retire.
- Last comments were them saying KU needs out of the Big 12 and they have a first class ticket to the Big 10.
It was truly a real life message board thread they had going with multiple topics. It reminded me of @wildcatdad and @Catman63 having lunch together.
