It was mentioned in the thread about Cony Durr that KSU has been in contact with Lionel "Lonnie" Johnson Jr.
Johnson is a 6'3" 200 pound corner out of Garden City CC. He does not have a JUCO profile on rivals but he is listed on some other services. He finished tied for second this season in the Jayhawk conference with 5 interceptions.
He has a HUDL profile with some JUCO highlights.
He was a very good athlete coming out of HS earning three and four star ratings from the major recruiting services. Hailing from Gary, IN Johnson originally committed to play for Ohio St as a WR over offers from many major schools (5 B1G offers, 2 SEC offers). In November of that year he decommitted from tOSU (I assume because they were moving on based on his academics) and a week later committed to W. Michigan.
In 2014 he played WR at San Bernadino Valley Junior College. In 6 games he had 16 catches for 264 yards and 2 TDs.
From what I can see he has good range and ball skills.
He could be an interesting player to watch.
