Where does the improvement / conference ranking jump come from next season?
We're losing super-senior McGuirl, but even bigger than that, we're losing nearly a double-double per game from Mark Smith.
Based on the current roster, you'll have:
- All conference junior Pack
- Senior guard Nowell
and then....
hoping for major improvement from Miguel?
hoping for a strength and conditioning commitment and return to form from Bradford?
hoping Maximus Edwards recovers completely and is ready to play at a Big XII reserve level?
hoping Massoud decides he wants to try to get rebounds?
hoping the staff decides to start recruiting and the transfer portal comes up big again?
I don't think there's enough on the current roster to get a top half big-12 finish without Smith unless Bruce pulls another Mark Smith out of the portal. Maybe I'm wrong though, or maybe the next 3 games go poorly and this thread doesn't matter.
