I know I misspelled the japanese pitcher`s name. He was throwing no more than 86 and was tying our guys in knots. Duffy gave up a massive dinger to Seagar and we scored on hr`s by orlando and Soler. He is now hitting .149 but maybe is picking it up. Duffy was routinely hitting 93 with his fast ball but threw some fat ones as well. His curve was at 84 to 79. When he threw it at 79 had a big bite on it otherwise was flattening out.
The lack of hitting on this team is a concern to me. Either that or some of the guys are just going through the motions. Esky made an error that led to one of the 3 runs Duffy gave up. More next week. I am also feeling a little queasy about the pitching. Herrera has given up runs in his last 2 outings. If we can`t score more he might not have many opps for saves. Questions?
