I think everyone will agree that term limits will never work because people that have to pass that are all part of the problem. I would suggest that we move in that direction by offering a mandatory retirement age that is similar to what corporations use and boards use across the country.
For those of you that say this will never work, I would point to taking away the interest deduction for mortgage loans. I thought that The interest deduction would always going to be the case but in one fell swoop they eliminated it by raising the standard deduction and virtually illuminating a large percentage of taxpayers from itemizing their tax return.
We need to pass a referendum that would have an age-you pick a number that would require a candidate to step aside. It would take away at least 10+ years from some of these career politicians.
