ie, (fill in the blank) isn't getting the job done, but he's trying, doing the right things, he's part of our team . . . he's "family"

maybe the #family/love/accept under all circumstances really should just be for family, ie grandparents, parents, children?

doesn't work in business if you want a high performing company. I remember one of those #family companies I used to work for. When I suggested it was time to let one of my employees find employment elsewhere the idea wasn't well received - "yes, Marv's projects never get done on time, they are always over budget, and we get a lot of complaints from his clients, but he's worked here forever, he's part of our family, we all need to just do a little bit more to compensate."

maybe #family is a bad idea for college athletics, especially football. We've even got family on the front of our helmets. maybe "winning" should replace "family" on that block the players carry onto the field and on the front of our helmets?
