Do we ever win these types of battles? Rarely. On the flip side, I do not think we strike out on our 2019 class due to the time we put into those kids. I think we get kids on our wish list as opposed to scrambling last minute. I wouldn’t guess we get Liddell, but I think McKinney is ours If we want him. I also think we get Murphy or Taban. Be nice to find an actual 6’4” 2-guard that can shoot over people and a freaky athletic wing.
Bruce is getting good at recruiting athletes that can defend. I want some scoring talent. If we can get some kids that can really score in 2019, we’ll be good for the next 4 years. I think Bruce retires in 2022, and we’re poised for another good coach. This hire may turn out to be the best KSU hire since Bill Snyder if people can get over Bruce’s shortcomings.
