I remember watching his film when we signed him, seeing an interview or two with him, and thinking he was another great get in the backcourt.
But until this weekend, I'm not sure I realized what kind of hops he has. He got up for some boards in the UMBC game, but at one point in the Creighton game he went baseline and tried to throw one down with two hands...he got up for it, but the ball was knocked away.
He's got some swag to his personality that doesn't register when you hear him talk. Diarra and McGuirl bring insane athleticism to the backcourt, and they've both got a little edge to them that they seem to be able to control. I mean...we run backdoor alley oop plays for Diarra. How many times do you do that for a freshman point guard?
We should be rattling the hell out of some rims next season.
