I personally have been wrangling with my thoughts from Friday"s game in Austin (none of them good!!!) Just received this message from the Catbacker leader from where I used to live. He has led that group since the late 1990's hosting watch parties for virtually every game for nearly 25 years. He bleeds purple with the best of them, you won't find a more loyal and dedicated Cat fan. His summation message sent out each week to all the Cat fans in his watch party database is straight to the point and well said, far better than I could have done and I agree with ALL of it!!
Beleaguered K-State Fans,
K-State played a floundering Texas team who had lost six in a row coming into the game including a loss to KU and K-State lost the game.
What transpired in Austin has to be one of the more embarrassing losses in modern K-State football and that includes being walloped last year in Manhattan at the hands of Texas. Texas won Friday's game 22-17. The defense as it has done most of the season came to play, but you can’t say that for the offense other than for running back Deuce Vaughn. Many offensive play calls were very questionable. Actually they have been for many of the games this season, including wins. Fans have been shaking their heads with the lack of creativity and not being consistent enough to match the skills of the players to the schemes called. If the offensive coordinator and quarterback are on the front line next year it will probably be a very long season. Let’s hope that . . .
